The viscosity assay is conducted at 5% using a Brookfield RVF, spindle 2, speed 10 rpm, at 25°C. The viscosity range is provided as a quality control specification. The viscosity molecular weight (Mv) is determined through a rheological method and is an approximation. According to supplier information, this product has the ability to thicken a wide variety of organic solvents at various temperatures. Typical organic solvents include most halogenated hydrocarbons, various ketones, alcohols, aromatic hydrocarbons, and esters. However, it is generally not soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents, glycols, diols, and aliphatic ethers.

General description
Application
- As a starting material to fabricate double layer nanodiamond thin film that acts as an interfacial protection layer for Li anodes.
- To enhance the surface properties of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) using plasma-initiated grafting.
- To prepare hydroxyapatite/poly(ethylene oxide)nanocomposites.
Features and Benefits
- High molecular weight (~300,000 Mv) offers excellent film-forming and thickening properties, ideal for controlled viscosity in formulations.
- Offered in powder form for easy to handle, measure, and dissolve, ensuring consistent dispersion in aqueous systems.
- Contains BHT as inhibitor to prevent oxidative degradation hence longer shelf life
- Hydroxyl terminated- Provides reactive end groups for potential chemical modifications or cross-linking in advanced applications.
- Suitable for thermal processing without compromising structural integrity.
