General description

TAK1 is an orphan nuclear receptor that represses the transcription of Gata1 and also inhibits signal transduction via T3R, RAR and RXR pathways. This orphan receptor also regulates PPARα-mediated gene expression in liver cells . Anti-TAK1 antibody recognizes TAK1 (70 kDa). Additional unidentified bands may be detected.


synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 588-606 of human TAK1. The sequence is identical in mouse and Xenopus.


Anti-TAK1 antibody is suitable for use in immunoblot (using whole-cell extracts from control MDA-MB-231 cells and MDA-MB-231 cells expressing shRNA to TAK1 ). The product can also be used for immunoprecipitation (1 μg using RIPA lysate (1 mg) from 3T3/HIR cells).
