Clone 4G3 is a ZooMAb rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects Parvalbumin.
Inmunógeno
GST/His-tagged full-length recombinant human Parvalbumin.
Aplicación
Anti-Parvalbumin, clone 4G3 ZooMAb, Cat. No. ZRB1218, is a highly specific rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that targets Parvalbumin and has been tested for use in Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry, and Western Blotting.
Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected Parvalbumin in rat and human brain tissue lysate.
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected Parvalbumin in human cerebellum and mouse cerebellum tissue sections.
Immunofluorescence Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected Parvalbumin in mouse cerebellum tissue sections.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected Parvalbumin in PC12 cells.
Note: Actual optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user as specimens and experimental conditions may vary.
Descripción de destino
Parvalbumin alpha (UniProt: P20472; also known as PV) is encoded by the PVALB gene (Gene ID: 5816) in human. Parvalbumin is a low molecular weight soluble protein that binds two calcium ions with high affinity and is implicated in intracellular calcium regulation and trafficking. It is composed almost entirely of two EF-hand domains (aa. 39-74 & 78-110) and is structurally related to calmodulin and troponin C. It serves as a slow Ca2+ buffer that affects the amplitude and time course of intracellular Ca2+ transients in terminals after an action potential, and hence may regulate short-term synaptic plasticity. During nervous system development, its expression is shown to accompany the maturation of functional circuits. Parvalbumin containing neurons are abundant in the cortex, the hippocampus, and the thalamus. It is present in GABAergic interneurons in the nervous system, especially the reticular thalamus. Parvalbumin interneurons are a subset of inhibitory GABAergic neurons that control the excitability of post-synaptic pyramidal neurons. Dysfunction or loss of parvalbumin interneurons has been implicated in cognitive deficits associated with several well-known psychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia and depression. This ZooMAb recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.
