General description

N-Acetylglycine, belongs to the class of α-amino acids, which reportedly create stable salts when combined with organic bases.

Application

N-Acetylglycine may be used as an internal standard for the determination of N-acetylneuraminic acid and N- glycolylneuraminic acid in glycoproteins by high- performance liquid chromatography (LC) with UV detection.
It may also be used as an analytical standard:
  • For studying the nontargeted modification-specific metabolomics based on liquid chromatography with high-resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS).
  • Determination of the analyte in tomato and potato samples using ion-pair liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (IP-LC-MS).
