General description

Tris Buffered Saline with 0.05% Tween® 20 or TBST has a low concentration of detergent with a pH of 8.0. It is a common washing buffer used in many immunodetection techniques. It decreases non-specific bindings from the western blot membrane and microtiter plate walls.

Application

Suitable for use as a wash buffer:
  • Western blot
  • ELISA
  • Immunohistochemistry

Contents of one pouch, when dissolved in 500 mL of distilled or deionized water, will yield a 1× solution containing 50 mM Tris, 138 mM NaCl, 2.7 mM KCl; 0.05%Tween 20 (w/v), pH 8.0 at 25 °C. Certified to be DNAse, RNAse, Protease, and Nickase free.

Storage and Stability

Store at room temperature. Product may naturally agglomerate but can be simply broken up within the pouch prior to use.
