Questions

  1. What is the molarity of the solution?

    1 answer
    1. The following formula can be applied to calculate molarity when the concentration is given in percentage:
      Molarity = [(% x d) / MW] x 10
      Where, % = Weight %; d = Density (or specific gravity); MW = Molecular Weight (or Formula Weight).

      Using this equation, the molarity of the 35 wt% deuterium chloride solution can be calculated as follows:
      [(35 × 1.2) / 37.47] × 10 = 11.21 M

      Please note: The density value of 1.2 g/mL is sourced from public databases, as the density of this product has not been determined internally.
