General description

Phosphomolybdic acid hydrate (PAH) is yellow and crystallisable compound. It precipitates from potash, oxides of rubidium, caesium and thallium, ammonia and other nitrogenous organic alkaloids.[1]

Application

A precursor to hybrid organic-inorganic based molecular batteries with applications as cation-insertion electrodes.
PAH was used in preparing Mo-Al2O3 catalysts in an attempt to produce ultra-low sulphur diesel.[2]
