General description

EPA 610-N PAH Kit can be utilized for identifying and quantifying polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in municipal and industrial wastewater. The pre-requisite of EPA 610 method is the use of gas chromatography with a selective detector or for gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. The analyst may be better equipped to choose between GC and HPLC. Packed GC columns are described in the 610 method, but chromatographic conditions can be changed (e.g., capillary columns may be used) if the changes do not make the method "less accurate or less precise" than the standard method.
Essentially, our EPA 610-N PAH kit contains 16 individually packaged polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbon neats for customizing solutions to meet the unique needs of the laboratory. Each PAH has been tested by GC for purity.

Application

EPA 610-N PAH Kit may be used as an anaytical reference standard mix for the quantification and separation of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in mixtures using liquid chromatography coupled to electrochemical detection with mass spectrometry (LC-EC-MS).
Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.
