General description

Indium(III) acetate is water soluble and decomposes to indium oxide on heating.

Application

Indium(III) acetate is used as a catalyst in
intermolecular radical addition of organic iodides to electron-deficient alkenes
the reduction of 1-bromo-3-phenylpropane to propylbenzene.
