General description

Sodium acetate is the sodium salt of acetic acid with a wide variety of chemical, biochemical and food applications of both laboratory and industrial scale.

Mettler-Toledo calibration substance ME 30130599, sodium acetate anhydrous is an analytical standard, ideal for the regular monitoring of Mettler-Toledo melting point instrument. Its value is a mean of 6 to 12 iterations with a Mettler-Toledo MP70 Excellence instrument that is calibrated against primary standards. The melting point is validated by Capillary method according to European Pharmacopeia (2.2.14.)

Application

Sodium acetate anhydrous Mettler-Toledo calibration substance ME 30130599 is used to calibrate Mettler-Toledo melting point instruments.

Features and Benefits

  • Melting point calibration standard traceable to a primary standard (LGC)
  • Melting point measured in both thermodynamic and pharmacopeia modes for physically correct and heating rate dependent melting point analyses, respectively
  • Available with certificates of analysis and safety data sheet
  • A product of analytical standard grade to help meet the QC/QA requirements of melting point determination
  • Measurement of uncertainty up to ± 0.4 °C
