Molybdenum disulfide suspension (MoS₂) is a two dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) material that forms a monolayer with a direct band gap of 1.8 eV and an indirect band gap of 1.2 eV. It can be used as a non-linear optical material and as a reinforcing filler in polymeric composites.
