一般描述

用于检测过氧化氢酶和过氧化物酶的试剂。过氧化氢酶和过氧化物酶存在于大多数好氧菌中。它们通过释放游离氧(产生气泡)而催化过氧化氢的分解。区分葡萄球菌(阳性)和链球菌(阴性)的经典测试。为了观察酶的作用,将过氧化氢酶试剂添加到纯细菌培养物中。由于氧气是过氧化氢分解的副产物,因此,任何直接起泡现象均代表阳性结果。该试验也可用于区分革兰氏阳性杆菌。
