Gene Information

mouse ... KLF2(16598)

General description

Krüppel-like factor 2 (KLF2) is a multifunction transcriptional regulator with growth-inhibitory, pro-apoptotic and anti-angiogenic activity towards monocytic cells. KLF2 modulates gene expression in endothelial cells. It is a positive regulator of embryonic β-globin gene expression.

Specificity

Anti-KLF2 polyclonal antibody reacts with human, mouse, rat, and pig Krüppel-like factor 2 proteins.

Immunogen

The immunogen for anti-KLF2 antibody: synthetic peptide derected towards the middle region of human KLF2

Application

Anti-KLF2 polyclonal antibody is used to tag Krüppel-like factor 2 protein for detection and quantitation by Western blotting and in plasma by immunohistochemical (IHC) techniques. It is used as a probe to determine the roles of Krüppel-like factor 2 in gene expression and cell processes such as growth, differentiation and apoptosis.

Synthetic peptide located within the following region: IPASGPRNPFPPPFGPGPSFGGPGPALHYGPPAPGAFGLFEDAAAAAAAL

Lyophilized from PBS buffer with 2% sucrose
