Synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human A4GNT
Anti-A4GNT (AB1) antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a concentration of 1μg/mL.
A4GNT (α-1,4-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase) gene encodes an enzyme that belongs to glycosyltransferase 32 family and is expressed predominantly in stomach and pancreas, as well as in gastric cancer cells. A4GNT facilitates the biosynthesis of mucin type glycoprotein (O-glycan). It also mediates the transfer of N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) to core 2 branched O-glycans with α1,4-linkage, forming GlcNAcα1,4Galβ residues. Further, α4GnT mRNA expressed in mononuclear cell fraction of peripheral blood acts as a biomarker for pancreatic cancer.
Synthetic peptide located within the following region: LLLVCGFLYQFTLKSSCLFCLPSFKSHQGLEALLSHRRGIVFLETSERME
Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.
