Gene Information

human ... TNFSF8(944)

Biochem/physiol Actions

CD30 ligand, a type II membrane protein, is a member of the TNF family. The specific receptor for CD30L is CD30. CD30-CD30L interaction mediates cell proliferation, cell activation, cell differentiation, and cell death.

Physical form

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline.

Analysis Note

The biological activity is measured by its ability to stimulate IL-6 secretion by HDLM cells, a Hodgkin′s lymphoma cell line.
