Azure B has been used in M′Fadyean stain to visualize Bacillus anthracis capsule.[1]

Biochem/physiol Actions

Azure B is a cationic dye. It is part of the Romanowsky stain, which is used for staining of blood films.[2] It is also used for the localization of nucleic acids and lignin.[3]
