General description

Titanium(IV) oxide is a chemically inert and non-toxic semiconductormaterial widely used in the field of photovoltaics and environmentalremediation. Thephotocatalytic activity of anatase is superior tothat of other polymorphs of titanium oxide.

Application

Titanium(IV) oxide can be used as a precursor:
  • To synthesize TiO2/ZnO- calcium alginate photocatalyst for removal of copper from aqueous solutions.
  • To fabricate implantable composite bioelectrode for biosensing applications.
It can also be used as a nanoparticle growth initiator for the anodic modification of microbial fuel cells(MFC) to enhance their performance.

If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature.   3. May I know the size and shape of the tio2 particles? Is it in nano scale? nanoparticles?

    1. The particle size of this material is not tested on a lot to lot basis. Historical data indicates an average particle size of 0.6 um with approximately 90% measuring < 1 um.

  4. This titanium is of the P25 type?

    1. This product is not Degussa P25 TiO2. For P25, the crystalline composition of Anatase/Rutile is ~85/15.
