Methyl acetimidate hydrochloride is an inhibitor of N-methylation of phosphatidylethanolamine. It also prevents the stimulation of purified cardiac sarcolemmal vesicles Ca²⁺-pump activities.

Application

Methyl acetimidate hydrochloride has been used in pre-crystallization chemical modification of lysine residues.
