General description

Copper powder (dendritic) is also known as an electrolytic copper powder (ECP) which has a dendritic shape with a particle size that is less than 4.5 μm. The dendritic shape of the copper particles can be produced by electrolytic deposition method.[1][2]

Application

ECP can be used as a catalyst in the production of biodiesel by transesterification of soybean oil and partial hydrogenation of polyunsaturated compounds.[3] It can also be used to form a metal composite with carbon nanotubes for the formation of high strength copper alloys.[1]
