Application

Cerium(IV) sulfate can be used to catalyze:
  • Selective oxidation of secondary alcohols to the corresponding ketones using sodium bromate as the oxidant.[1]
  • Direct sulfonation of methane with sulfur trioxide to methanesulfonic acid in sulfuric acid.[2]
  • Synthesis of 14-aryl- or 14-alkyl-14H-dibenzo[aj]xanthenes from the condensation of 2-naphthol and aldehydes under solvent-free and microwave conditions.[3]

Reactant for:
  • Preparation of spherical-like nanoparticles CeO2 nanoparticles for NO reductions reactions

  • Oxidizing agent
