(1-tert-Butylvinyloxy)trimethylsilane is a silyl enol. It belongs to organosilicone class of compounds. Enthalpy of vaporization of (1-tert-Butylvinyloxy)trimethylsilane at boiling point has been reported.[1]

Application

(1-tert-Butylvinyloxy)trimethylsilane ((2,2-Dimethyl-1-methylenepropoxy)trimethylsilane) may be used in the synthesis of cis-3,3-dimethyl-1-(6-phenethyl-3,6-dihydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)butan-2-one.[2]

(1-tert-Butylvinyloxy)trimethylsilane may be used in the preparation of 1-(4-bromophenyl)-4,4-dimethylpentan-3-one.[3]
