General description

Ammonium acetate is a widely used reagent in molecular biology and chromatography. It is repoted as an effective inhibitor of Pd/C catalyzed benzyl ether hydrogenolysis.

Application

Ammonium acetate has been used in the mobile phase for the HPLC determination of ezetimibe and its metabolites. It may be used in preparation of phenanthrimidazoles and retinimidazoles.
