Application

Lead(II)bromide can be used as a precursor to synthesize:
  • Luminescent lead bromide perovskite nanoparticles that are applicable for developing light-emitting diodes.
  • CsPbBr3 quantum dots, applicable as a photocatalyst for efficient degradation of antibiotics in an organic system.
It is also used as a catalyst in combination with aluminum powder for the prenylation of quinonoid compounds with prenyl bromide.
