General description

3,4-Diacetoxy-1-butene (3,4-DAB) is a diacetoxybutene derivative. 1,3-butadiene undergoes oxidative acetoxylation in the presence of palladium-based IMCs (intermetallic compounds) to form 3,4-DAB as one of the product.[1]
