General description

We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency. Find details here.

Application

Catalyst for:
  • In-situ ion exchange preparation of platinum-carbon nanotubes electrode[1]
  • PtRu nanoparticles supported on nitrogen-doped porous carbon for use in fuel cells[2]
  • Producing hydrogen from methylcyclohexane[3]
  • Microfibrous structured catalytic packings for miniature methanol fuel processors[4]

Used for:
  • Self-assembled monolayer of graphene-platinum counter electrode for efficient dye-sensitized solar cells[5]
  • Borohydride interaction with metal surfaces[6]
Platinum on alumina (Pt/Al2O3) (0.5 wt. % loading, spheres) can be used as a catalyst for a variety of applications, such as:
  • in the hydrodechlorination of chlorobenzenes[7]
  • oxidation, reduction, and decomposition[8]
  • in methanol steam reforming[9]
  • hydrocarbon combustion[10][11]
