General description

Dichloromethane-d₂ (CD₂Cl₂) is a deuterated NMR solvent containing 0.1% (v/v) TMS (tetramethylsilane). It is useful in NMR-based research and analyses. Raman spectral analysis of CD₂Cl₂ in the gas phase has been reported.[1]

Application

Dichloromethane-d₂ may be used to analyze the three-dimensional structure of (9S,11S)-11-amino-9-deoxo-11,12-deoxy-9,12-epoxyerythromycin by proton NMR derived constrained molecular mechanics.[2]
