3-Iodopyridine is a heteroaryl halide.[1] It undergoes microwave-assisted coupling with heterocyclic compounds (pyrazole, imidazole, pyrrole and indole) to afford the corresponding N-3-pyridinyl-substituted heterocyclic compounds.
