Application

Tetrabutylammonium bisulfate (Bu4NHSO4) can be used as a reagent along with potassium fluoride dihydrate to synthesize β-fluoro amine derivatives by the ring-opening reaction of aziridines.[1] It may also be utilized as a catalyst in the hydrolysis of aziridines and epoxides to corresponding β-amino alcohols and 1,2-diols, respectively.[2]
