Questions

1–3 of 3 Questions
  1. What are the particle sizes of the HDC carrier material?

    1 answer
    1. The particle size of this material varies from lot to lot and has a maximum specification of 5 nm. This information is reported in the product Certificate of Analysis. Please see the link below to review a sample or lot specific Certificate:

  2. can it be used as cathode in microbial desalination cell or no? and if no why?

    1 answer
    1. Microbial desalination cells (MDCs ) rely on microbial activity to drive the desalination process. This product is not a biocompatible material and may potentially inhibit microbial activity. A brief search of the literature did not reveal evidence that this material has been utilized in MDC applications.

  3. Could you provide details on the properties of the platinum on carbon (Pt3Co/C)? Specifically, if the carbon support is graphitized or what kind of carbon it is. Additionally, what is the BET surface area and other physical properties of the catalyst beyond the ones listed?

    1 answer
    1. The product 738565 is an alloy catalyst consisting of Pt-Co supported on High Durable Carbon (HDC) with a BET surface area of 200 m2/g.
