Application

Tetrakis(decyl)ammonium bromide acts as a phase transfer agent to transfer platinum salt from aqueous to organic phase during the synthesis of platinum nanocrystals. It plays the same role for transferring gold ions from an aqueous to an organic phase during the synthesis of gold nanoparticles.
