Application

NanoFabTx Microfluidic - nano device kit is designed to work with NanoFabTx - nano reagent kits (please visit www.sigmaaldrich.com/nanofabtx) and can be used to create drug-encapsulated polymeric nanoparticles or liposomes with narrow size dispersity and high batch-to-batch consistency. The device kit includes a comprehensive protocol, pre-assembled microfluidic chip manifold, tubing, and required accessories and is compatible with either the Dolomite microfluidics system or a standard syringe pump (compatible microfluidics system or syringe pump required separately).
Microfluidic-based synthesis is a powerful tool for fabricating size-controlled drug delivery particles. The chip geometries and flow parameters enable facile synthesis of monodispersed particles with minimum batch-to-batch variance. Microfluidics allows scalable synthesis of particles, and rapid formulation screening.

Features and Benefits

  • Microfluidic formulation development for enhancing drug bioavailability
  • Optimization of drug encapsulation and loading efficiency in nanoparticles and liposomes
  • Selection of optimal nanoparticle and liposome size
  • Optimized to make 100-200 nanoparticles or liposomes
  • Step-by-step microfluidic-based protocols developed and tested by our formulation scientists

Other Notes

This kit was developed and tested in partnership with Dolomite Microfluidics. For compatible pumps and microfluidic systems, please visit , Dolomite for more information.
