Adenosine 5′-triphosphate disodium salt hydrate has been used as a component of mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) assay start buffer. It has also been used in a feeding behavior study of Rhodnius prolixus as a potent phagostimulant in feeding solutions to enhance the feeding rate.
