4,8-Bis(hydroxymethyl)tricyclo[5.2.1.02,6]decane (TDMol) is used in the preparation of high molecular weight poly(1,4-butylene carbonate) (PBC).[1] It is also used in the synthesis of photoactive compounds (PAC) for the preparation of positive photo-resist materials.[2][3]
