Application

Fumaric acid is commonly used as a flavoring agent in food industries because of its sour, or acidic flavor.[1] It has low water solubility. In order to increase its application in various foods, fumaric acid is used along with dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate, a wetting agent.[1][2]
