General description

A certified Snap-N-Spike® solution of Oxymorphone-3ß-D-glucuronide suitable for use in a variety of GC/MS or LC/MS applications such as pain prescription monitoring, clinical toxicology, pharmaceutical research, forensic analysis, or urine drug testing. Oxymorphone-3ß-D-glucuronide is a major metabolite of oxymorphone in urine and plasma. Oxymorphone, sold under trade names such as Opana®, Numorphan®, and Numorphone, is an opiate analgesic indicated for relief of moderate to severe pain.

Application

  • Validation of a thin-layer chromatography/densitometry method for the characterization of invertase activity.: This study validated a TLC-densitometric method using Silica gel 60 F₂₅₄ for the characterization of invertase activity, demonstrating the technique′s robustness and reliability in analyzing enzyme activity (Ferey et al., 2016).

  • Stability-Indicating TLC-Densitometric and HPLC Methods for the Simultaneous Determination of Piracetam and Vincamine in the Presence of Their Degradation Products.: This research developed and validated stability-indicating methods using TLC-densitometry with Silica gel 60 F₂₅₄ and HPLC for the simultaneous determination of piracetam and vincamine, highlighting the methods′ precision and sensitivity in the presence of degradation products (Ahmed et al., 2016).

  • TLC densitometric method for the preliminary evaluation of fucoxanthin-based products.: This paper presented a TLC-densitometric method utilizing Silica gel 60 F₂₅₄ for the analysis of fucoxanthin in commercial products, showing its effectiveness for preliminary quality assessment of these products (Piovan et al., 2014).

  • Modulation of the cardiac membrane-bound cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase: inhibition due to a contamination of TLC purified S-adenosyl-L-[methyl-3H] methionine by Zn++ ions.: This study investigated the inhibition of cardiac membrane-bound cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase by Zn++ ions, which were contaminants in TLC purified S-adenosyl-L-[methyl-3H] methionine using Silica gel 60 F₂₅₄, emphasizing the need for careful sample preparation in biochemical assays (Dubois et al., 1985).
