General description

This certified Snap-N-Spike® solution is suitable for THCV testing by HPLC, GC/MS or LC-MS/MS methods in forensic analysis, clinical toxicology, urine drug testing, and cannabis potency or impurity profiling testing applications. Cerilliant® Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) of cannabinoids are supplied in a convenient, quantitative, US DEA-exempt solution format and with TK#s for Canadian customers.

Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV) is one of the main cannabinoids that belongs to the class of C21 terpenophenolic compounds. Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV) is a cannabinoid found in Cannabis that reportedly has efficacy for the treatment of diabetes and controlling weight gain.

Application

The Certified Reference Material (CRM) in solution can also be used as follows:

  • Multi-analysis of 11 cannabinoids in biomass and extracts of different cannabis varieties by an HPLC-UV method, following the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) Tripartite Guideline for Validation of Analytical Procedures
  • Extraction of nine cannabinoids from food and beverage samples having hemp seeds, oil, and flour as ingredients followed by their analysis by liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-QTrap-tandem mass spectrometry LC/ESI‐QTRAP‐MS/MS
  • Simultaneous analysis of five major cannabinoids and their metabolites in human urine and plasma samples by high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS)
  • Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) based analysis of ten main cannabinoids from hemp inflorescences following their silylation and esterification for derivatization
  • Development and validation of an ultra-high performance liquid chromatographic (UHPLC) method coupled to photodiode array and mass spectrometry detectors to determine 11 cannabinoids in various Cannabis Sativa samples
  • Quantitative detection of seven cannabinoids in 70 different oil-based pharmaceutical products by liquid chromatography (LC) coupled to tandem mass spectrometry detector (MS/MS)

Features and Benefits

  • Fully characterized under ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 17034 accreditation
  • Accompanied with a comprehensive Certificate of Analysis (CoA) with data on stability, homogeneity, accuracy of concentration, uncertainty, and traceability
  • Rigorously tested through real-time stability studies to ensure accuracy and shelf life
  • Gravimetrically prepared using qualified precision balances to ensure minimal uncertainty
  • Flame sealed under argon into ampoules for long-term shelf life
  • Offered in a convenient, DEA-exempt format to improve laboratory efficiency
