General description

Brilliant cresyl blue zinc chloride double salt for microscopy Certistain®, is a dry staining dye that is used to prepare a staining solution, that makes target structures (by staining with the above brilliant cresyl blue solution) evaluable for diagnostic purposes. The regenerative capacity of erythrocytes can be detected by counting of reticulocytes. The measurement of substantia granulofilamentosa (ribonucleoproteins) is possible with fresh, non-fixed, young erythrocytes (supravital staining).Four stages of substantia granulofilamentosa maturation can be distinguished depending on the stage of reticulocyte development: coiled skein (I), incomplete network (II), complete network (III) and granular form (IV). In peripheral blood the development stages III and IV are found most commonly. When stained with brilliant cresyl blue the reticulocytes display a black-blue network or black-blue dots.
As an IVD product and CE registered, it can be used hassle-free in diagnostics and laboratory accreditations. For more details, please see instructions for use (IFU). The IFU can be downloaded from this webpage.
