General description

NutriSelect® prime MUELLER HINTON (MH) Agar is a special media composition which is designed for the disc diffusion antimicrobial susceptibility testing if common, rapidly growing bacteria from food and animal feed, water, and other samples.
The presence of beef extract and casein hydrolysate provides nitrogen, vitamins, carbon, amino acids, and other nutrients to support the growth of microorganisms. Starch is added to absorb any toxic substances present and agar acts as a solidifying agent.

Application

NutriSelect® prime MUELLER HINTON (MH) Agar is used to test the antibiotic resistance capability of microorganisms in food and animal feed, water, and other samples.

Footnote

We offer two media types: the superior granulated GranuCult® and the cost-efficient powdered NutriSelect® culture media, depending on your needs.
The designations basic, plus, or prime are added to indicate the quality control level, from basic quality control to standard QC plus to prime for full regulatory compliance.
