General description

LiChrosolv® solvents were specially formulated to meet the demanding needs of analytical HPLC applications. With exceptional UV transmittance, minimal particle count, and controlled acidity and alkalinity, our solvents ensure reproducible separations every time. The low evaporation residue level further enhances their performance, making them the ideal choice for high-quality results. The product line includes both "gradient grade" and "isocratic grade" solvents, specifically designed to reduce the gradient effect during separations. This tailored approach allows for optimal consistency and accuracy in your analytical processes, helping you achieve the best possible outcomes in your chromatography work.

Now Available with Data Matrix Code

This high-quality HPLC-grade solvent now features a unique Data Matrix Code on its label, providing digital access to essential product information such as batch number, product number, and expiry date. Unlike standard barcodes, our DMCs feature a unique serial number for each bottle, enabling you to monitor and trace every bottle individually. With standard barcodes, all bottles from the same batch look identical. Our solution gives you true bottle-level traceability for greater control and compliance in the lab.

Application

  • Mobile Phase in HPLC: Widely utilized as a polar solvent in both reversed-phase and normal-phase HPLC, suitable for various types of analytes.
  • Gradient Elution: Ideal for gradient elution techniques, enhancing the resolution and separation efficiency of complex mixtures.
  • Pharmaceutical Quality Control: Used in the quality control of pharmaceutical products to analyze formulations, stability and degradation products.
  • Food and Beverage Analysis: Employed in HPLC for the analysis of additives and flavor compounds in food and beveragesamples.
  • Natural Product Analysis: Utilized in the separation and characterization of natural products, such as alkaloids and flavonoids from plant extracts.

Features and Benefits

  • High Purity: Formulated with minimal impurities, ensuring reliable and reproducible results essential for sensitive analyticalapplications.
  • Excellent UV Transparency: Provides optimal UVtransmittance, facilitating accurate detection and enhancing sensitivity inHPLC analyses.
  • Low Evaporation Residue: Minimizes contaminationrisk, leading to cleaner separations and improved analytical reliability.
  • Batch-to-Batch Consistency: Ensures uniform qualityand performance across different production batches, enhancing reproducibilityand confidence in analytical results.

Questions

1–2 of 2 Questions
  1. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1 answer
    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.
For more information, please refer to the Product Dating Information document: https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/deepweb/assets/sigmaaldrich/marketing/global/documents/418/501/product-dating-information-06-25-mk.pdf

      Helpful?

  2. How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

    1 answer
    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. For more information, please refer to the Storage and Transport Conditions document: https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/deepweb/assets/sigmaaldrich/marketing/global/documents/316/622/storage-transport-conditions-mk.pdf
