General description

GranuCult® prime Lauryl Sulfate broth (acc. ISO 4831, ISO 7251, and FDA-BAM) is used to selectively enrich and detect coliforms from food and animal feed, water, and other materials. The high nutrient quality and the presence of phosphate buffer ensure rapid growth and increased gas production of even the "slowly lactose-fermenting" coliform bacteria. Gas formation can be detected by using Durham tubes. The lauryl sulfate inhibits the growth of undesired bacteria.

Application

GranuCult® prime Lauryl Sulfate broth is suitable for the selective enrichment and presumptive detection of coliform bacteria from food and animal feed, water, and other materials.

Features and Benefits

  • GranuCult® offers superior granulated culture media
  • Safe and sustainable due to reduced risks associated with fine dust and toxic substance inhalation, resulting in a safer work environment
  • Excellent wettability, solubility, and free-flowing properties
  • Convenient, with minimal component separation and clumping, even under warm or humid conditions
  • High batch-to-batch reproducibility
  • Prolonged shelf life of up to five years
  • High number of test strains exceeding all regulatory demands
  • Granulation technology allows many supplements to be included, with no need to add these separately
