General description

Aquacides are useful for concentration of proteins and other macromolecules and can be used for rapid removal of water from dialysis tubing by using either a 2% syrup or the Aquacide solid. Aquacides neither denature proteins nor change the pH during concentration. At room temperature 1 g of Aquacide absorbs about 5 ml of water from solution in one hour. Sodium salt of carboxymethylcellulose. Has extremely high viscosity. Contains an average of 0.85 carboxymethyl groups per anhydroglucose unit.
