General description

Do not disturb until the fibrinogen is completely solubilized.
Native fibrinogen from bovine plasma. A plasma glycoprotein synthesized and secreted by hepatic parenchymal cells. Fibrinogen, also known as Coagulation Factor I, is an acute-phase plasma protein found at a concentration of about 300 mg/100 ml. Conversion of soluble fibrinogen to the insoluble clot-forming fibrin is the terminal stage of blood clotting. Clinically, fibrinogen is elevated in pregnancy, after surgical trauma, and myocardial infarction, and is decreased in cases of liver cirrhosis and serum hepatitis.
Native fibrinogen from bovine plasma. An acute phase plasma glycoprotein synthesized and secreted by hepatic parenchymal cells. Contains ≥ 95% clottable proteins.

Physical form

Lyophilized from 20 mM sodium citrate-HCl, pH 7.4.

Preparation Note

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C) for long term storage or store at room temperature (20°C) for short term storage. Do not store solutions on ice; precipitation will occur. Stock solutions are stable for up to 4 h at 20°C or for up to 6 months at -20°C.
Solutions used to reconstitute fibrinogen should first be brought to 37°C. Once at 37°C, the solution can be added to the fibrinogen and this mixture should remain at 37°C until the fibrinogen is completely solubilized.

Analysis Note

homogeneous by SDS-PAGE.

Questions

1–3 of 3 Questions
  1. How to dissolve this product? Heat to 37 degree or leave it in 4°?

    1 answer
    1. Solutions used to reconstitute this product should first be brought to 37°C. Once at 37°C, the solution can be added to the product, and this mixture should remain at 37°C until complete solubilization occurs. If disturbed before complete solubilization, the product will gel or precipitate and become unusable.

  2. How to sterilize this product after dissolve before use?

    1 answer
    1. Product 341573 is a non-sterile reagent. Please use sterile purified water for dissolution. The solution for reconstituted fibrinogen should first be warmed to 37°C. Once it reaches 37°C, the solution can be added to the fibrinogen. The mixture should be kept at 37°C until the fibrinogen is completely dissolved. Dissolution takes time, and shock during the dissolution process can produce insoluble precipitates. Therefore, allow the solution to stand still during the dissolution process. Please follow the dissolution method described on the product page.
