General description

Recombinant, human pro-MMP-7 expressed in E. coli. MMP-7 is believed to be a key factor in the regulation of metastasis. Overexpression of MMP-7 is observed in colon cancer. Activatable by organomercurials (APMA; Cat. No. 164610).

One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will digest 1.0 µg AZOCOLL Substrate (Cat. No. 194933), in the presence of 500 μM p-aminophenylmercuric acetate (APMA; Cat. No. 164610) per minute at 37°C, pH 7.5.
