General description

A reversible inhibitor of trypsin that binds to trypsin in a stoichiometric, pH-dependent manner (Kd = 500 nM at pH 7.8).
Reversible inhibitor of trypsin that binds to trypsin in a stoichiometric, reversible and pH-dependent manner (Kd = 0.5 nM at pH 7.8). Also inhibits, to a lesser degree, chymotrypsin, kallikrein, plasmin, and other serine proteases.

Unit Definition

One unit is defined as the amount of protein that will inhibit 1 unit of trypsin activity using BAEE as a substrate at 25°C, pH 7.6.
