General description

HERVs are a class of multiple-sclerosis-associated retroviruses.

Specificity

Reacts with a replication-competent human Endogenous Retrovirus (HERV) isolated from placenta. HERVs area class of multiple-sclerosis-associated retroviruses. Specific to residues 42-50 [QRPGNIDAPC] of the HERV protein.

Application

Western blotting: 1:500 - 1:1,000.

Optimal dilutions must be determined by end user.

Physical form

Affinity purified. Liquid in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide.

Storage and Stability

Store at 2° to 8°C for up to 12 months from date of receipt. May be stored at -20°C for longer periods. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
