General description
The MILLIPLEX® Canine Gut Hormone Panel is a 9-plex kit to be used for the simultaneous quantification of any or all of the following analytes in canine plasma, serum or tissue supernatants or tissue extraction samples: Amylin (total), Active Ghrelin, GIP, GLP-1, Glucagon, Insulin, Leptin, PP and PYY. This kit uses a 96-well format, contains a lyophilized standard cocktail, two internal assay quality controls and can measure up to 38 samples in duplicate.
The Luminex® xMAP® platform uses a magnetic bead immunoassay format for ideal speed and sensitivity to quantitate multiple analytes simultaneously, dramatically improving productivity while conserving valuable sample volume.
Panel Type: Metabolism
Specificity
No significant cross-reactivity with other hormones tested.
Application
- Analytes: Amylin* (Total), Ghrelin* (Active), GIP (Total), GLP-1* (Active), Glucagon, Insulin, Leptin, Pancreatic Polypeptide (PP) and PYY (total)
- Recommended Sample Type: Canine serum, plasma, tissue supernatants or tissue extraction samples; (*) specific analytes require protease inhibitor(s) during sample collection
- Recommended Sample Dilution:
- 50 μL per well of undiluted serum or plasma
- Assay Run Time: Overnight (16-18 hr) at 2-8°C
- Research Category: Metabolism
- Research Subcategory: Obesity, Diabetes
