General description

Adipokines are signaling proteins secreted by adipose tissue that influence inflammation, metabolism, and energy balance. This set of biomarkers—IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8/CXCL8, Insulin, Leptin, MCP-1/CCL2, NGF, and TNFα—captures the interplay between metabolic regulation and immune response. These analytes are associated with insulin sensitivity, appetite control, inflammatory signaling, and neuroimmune interactions, making them highly relevant for research in obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and chronic inflammation.

Application

  1. Can the Milliplex Human Adipokine Panel detect insulin analog and other exogenous insulin?

    1. The Insulin antibodies utilized in the Human Adipokine Panel have not undergone testing for reactivity to Insulin analogs. Therefore, their detectability remains uncertain. The capture antibody is a monoclonal insulin antibody, and the immunogen is purified bovine insulin.
