General description

Heptane Low UV Cutoff is a non-polar solvent specifically refined to exhibit minimal absorbance in the low ultraviolet (UV) range. This makes it an ideal choice for UV detection methods, particularly in HPLC, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and analytical chemistry workflows where UV transparency is critical.
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. Heptane is an environmentally preferable solvent compared to hexane and thus align with "Safer Solvents and Auxiliaries". Click here for more information.

Application

Heptane Low UV Cutoff can be used as a solvent:
  • For the extraction of extracellular hydrocarbons from the biomass.[1]
  • In the determination of pharmaceutical compounds.[2]
