General description

Adipokines such as insulin, leptin, resistin, adiponectin, IL-6, TNF-α, MCP-1, and PAI-1 are key regulators of energy metabolism, inflammation, and endocrine signaling. Insulin facilitates glucose uptake, leptin controls appetite and energy balance, and resistin is linked to insulin resistance. Adiponectin enhances insulin sensitivity, while IL-6 and TNF-α are central to obesity-related inflammation. MCP-1 recruits immune cells to adipose tissue, and PAI-1 influences fibrinolysis and metabolic dysfunction. Together, these biomarkers offer a comprehensive view of adipose tissue function and its systemic impact on metabolic health.

Application

MILLIPLEX® Qualified assays undergo rigorous assay development, verification, and Quality Control testing to achieve optimal performance. Simultaneously analyze up to 7 analytes in mouse serum or plasma samples.

Analytes included: Insulin, Leptin, Resistin, Adiponectin, IL-6, TNF-α, MCP-1, PAI-1 (Total)

Assay Characteristics: Refer to assay protocol for details on cross-reactivity, sensitivity, precision, and accuracy
