General description

Rabbit polyclonal antibody supplied as undiluted serum. Recognizes the ~52-57 kDa isoforms of MYH.
Recognizes the MYH protein and several of its approximately 10 isoforms in PC12, Jurkat, and HeLa cells.
This Anti-MYH (33-51) Rabbit pAb is validated for use in Immunoblotting, Immunofluorescence, Paraffin Sections for the detection of MYH (33-51).

Immunogen

Human
a synthetic peptide (QEGRQKHAKNNSQAKPSAC) corresponding to amino acids 33-51 of human MYH

Application

Immunoblotting (1:1500)

Immunofluorescence (1:500)

Paraffin Sections (see application references)

Warning

Toxicity: Standard Handling (A)

Physical form

Undiluted serum.

Reconstitution

Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze (-20°C).

Analysis Note

Positive Control
PC12, Jurkat, or HeLa cells

Other Notes

Detects MYH and several of its approximately ten isoforms. In Jurkat cells the ~52 kDa and ~53 kDa variants were found in the nuclear fraction while the ~57 kDa protein is found in the mitochondria. Antibody should be titrated for optimal results in individual systems.
